Amandola is situated at the NorthEast border of the strikingly beautiful Monti Sibillini National Park. In the park you will find some resources that are unfortunately becoming rare nowadays: clean air, unspoiled nature, and numerous species of wild animals and plants. The highland plateau in the vicinity of Amandola becomes a carpet of wild flowers in May and June. Wild-life-enthusiasts might catch a rare glimps of buzzards, kestrels, peregrines, golden eagles, wildcats, porcupines, wild boar and the Appenine wolf.
Hicking, mountainbiking and horse riding are some of the activities that you might enjoy in the park. For more information please visit the Monti Sibillini site listed on our LINKS page. |
